1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike most web applications, we do not collect or have access to:

• Your PDF files: Files are processed entirely in your browser
• Transaction data: We never see your bank transactions or account information
• Account balances: Your financial information stays on your device
• Personal identification: We don't require accounts, logins, or names
• Email addresses: No registration or contact information needed
• Credit card information: The Service is free - no payment processing

2. How the Service Works (Technical Architecture)

Client-Side Processing:

1. You upload a PDF file through your browser
2. The file is processed using WebAssembly (Pyodide + pdfminer.six) running in your browser
3. Transactions are extracted and formatted into CSV
4. The CSV is downloaded directly to your device
5. No data is transmitted to any server at any point

Technical Verification: Developers can inspect the network tab in browser developer tools to verify that no file data is uploaded to any server.

3. Information We DO Collect

3.1 Anonymous Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the Service:

• Page views: Which pages you visit
• Browser type and version: To ensure compatibility
• General geographic location: Country/region level only (not precise location)
• Device type: Desktop vs mobile
• Session duration: How long you use the Service
• Referral source: How you found the Service

Important: Google Analytics does NOT collect the content of your PDFs or any transaction data. We only see that a conversion occurred, not what was converted.

3.2 Error Reporting

When conversion errors occur, we may collect:

• Error type and message
• Browser type and version
• PDF structure information (page count, layout type)

We do NOT collect: The actual PDF content, transaction details, or account information.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Zero Data Retention Policy:

• No server-side storage of PDFs or CSV files
• No database of user data
• No cloud backup of your files
• Files are processed in browser memory and cleared when you close the tab

Local Browser Storage: We may store minimal settings (e.g., UI preferences) in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

5. Cookies

We use cookies only for Google Analytics. These cookies:

• Track anonymous usage patterns
• Do not contain personally identifiable information
• Do not contain data from your PDFs
• Can be blocked using browser settings or ad-blocking extensions

The Service will function normally with cookies disabled.

6. Third-Party Services

6.1 Google Analytics

Google Analytics is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by:

• Installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
• Using browser extensions that block analytics scripts
• Enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser settings

6.2 Open Source Libraries

The Service uses the following client-side libraries:

• Pyodide: Runs Python in your browser (no data collection)
• pdfminer.six: Parses PDF files locally (no data transmission)

These libraries process data entirely within your browser and do not communicate with external servers.

7. Your Rights and Control

Since we don't collect your financial data, there's nothing to access, modify, or delete. However, you can:

• Clear browser cache: Remove any local storage settings
• Use private/incognito mode: No cookies or local storage will be saved
• Block analytics: Use browser extensions to prevent Google Analytics
• Inspect network traffic: Verify no data uploads using browser developer tools

8. Security

Client-Side Processing = Maximum Security:

• No data transmission means no risk of interception
• No server storage means no risk of data breaches
• No user accounts means no password vulnerabilities
• Processing happens in browser sandbox (isolated environment)

Recommendations for Users:

• Use HTTPS (our site enforces HTTPS connections)
• Keep your browser updated for latest security patches
• Use trusted devices when processing sensitive financial documents
• Clear browser cache after using public/shared computers

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we don't collect user data, this is not a concern for our Service.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. The Service can be accessed from anywhere in the world. Since all processing happens in your browser:

• Your data never crosses international borders (it stays on your device)

You should always verify the converted data against your original PDF before using it for financial decisions, tax filing, or accounting purposes.

The developer assumes no responsibility for any errors in the converted data.
